Press Review, ‘Clifton Life’ 2013:
“The Midnight Sun emerges as the first digital print series by the artist. The images are based on the artist’s city-scapes of Nordic cities where the sun doesn’t set; seeking to reveal the magical within through intuitive, casual and coincidental glimpses. The visual style of the series has been developed into a language which goes beneath the aesthetic, in order to evoke a world of dreams, feeling and associations.”
Accession 2012 – online show
An exhibition of digital art organised and curated by the Petropolis Art Gallery and the international art and literature project ‘Pulse of Time’. The critiques of the exhibition wrote:
The Press – ‘Pulse of Time’:
“This series of photographs by Katalina S’Bath forms a unified entity. The key artwork in the series is the one on which is a demonstratively empty garden bench in eternal lilac twilight – as the sign of lack of a human presence in this world. The soul is looking through colour glass of the heavenly stained-glass in the the garden of eternally flowering life where the branches of trees are heavy with never withering flowers of secret scents.“
Insomnia 2011
A solo exhibition of fifty original digital prints was held at the International Federation of Artists’, IFA in November 2011.
The art show’s curator, V. Kuryadsky, wrote:
“The city is seen by the artist as though through glittering view: fresh impressions, compositions containing inter-ralations of meaningful as well as coincidental details. Quick glances in different directions. A kaleidoscope, a mosaic of reflections in water and glass. Water, air, river and open spaces, great lettering on windows. The sky and heaven broken up by electric transmission lines. The night time stillness of the Summer Gardens, fragments of buildings shown in dizzy angels, the magic of evenings and the disquiet of sunsets. The quintessence of the show is in the self-portrait of the artist herself. Sharp angel of the head, a wave of hair falling down freely, impetuosity, readiness for action, concentration, astute yet simultaneously dreaming and lively glance. This series of photographs is a revealed restless and dreaming spirit of the artist.
